Appliances that fit in a Dorm Room at UAKC

If you’ve sent your son or daughter off to college and are wondering how they’re doing, you might check to see if they have a fridge and microwave for those late night snacks when they’re up studying.

Most college dorms don’t allow any type of appliance with heating coils such as a toaster or hotplate, so they’ll have to stick with a microwave for cooking anything. The Whirlpool model below might work well since it’s designed to fit in a corner.

For a refrigerator, the Danby can easily fit under a countertop. It’s perfect for beverages and fruit (or candy bars), but doesn’t have a freezer. That could be a good thing as it shouldn’t need defrosting.
