Shopping for a New Range? Induction vs Electric
The right range can provide the heart of your kitchen. It not only provides a central focal point, but it needs to offer great functionality. In many homes, the decision for a new range will come down to electric vs induction ranges. Each type has its own advantages and possible drawbacks, so before you make your purchase, it is crucial that you appreciate these differences. So, in this article, we’ll break down the key differences between induction ranges and electric ranges, assess the pros and cons and offer some tips to help you to choose the right one for your kitchen. The Types of Ranges Both induction and electric ranges rely on electricity as a power source, but they operate in a fundamentally different way. But whichever type you choose, there are different types of ranges that will determine which best suits your cooking needs and kitchen aesthetic. Freestanding: Freestanding ranges are a stand alone unit that you can place anywhere in your kitchen. Providing you have the appropriate electrical hook up, you can install a freestanding range to suit your new kitchen layout. Slide In: As the name suggests, slide in ranges are designed to slide between your cabinetry. This allows for a built in look that can work well in a contemporary style kitchen design. New Wolf Induction Range Coming to UAKC
NEW TO MARKET, IT'S THE WOLF INDUCTION RANGETwo New Induction Ranges from WolfExclusive - Only Induction Range Available in 36" SizeInduction cooktops are very popular and many of the cooking brands have a variety of them. For example, Bosch has 8 models of induction cooktops. Though induction cooktops have been available in one form or another since the 1980's, it's been the last 10 years that induction has really caught the attention of American consumers. While induction cooktops are widespread, fewer brands have been offering induction ranges. Now that seems to be changing, too. Wolf has taken it a step further by introducing both a 30"and an exclusive 36" wide version. One might think that's just not a big deal, but I'd disagree. In the luxury category 36" ranges are very common. So, being the only manufacturer of a 36" induction range is a big deal. But let's back up a bit and discuss why induction is making its mark in the range category as a whole. It's no secret that cooking with gas is a strong preference in Southern California. Unfortunately, there are instances where gas fuel is not available or practical. Induction to the rescue! With all the speed and power of gas (and then some), precision controls, and easy cleanup, it's hard to argue against induction. All the benefits of gas with no flame! The smooth top is attractive and contributes to a sleek look across the countertop. The 30" version has 4 induction elements, and the 36" -

Reasons to Buy an Induction Cooktop or Range
4 Good Reasons to Consider InductionHere are four very good reasons you should consider induction if you are purchasing a new range or cooktop. If you think Induction might be for you, be sure to contact the cooking experts at Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center (UAKC). They carry all the major brands and have excellent selection and prices.1. Fast to heat Induction will heat faster than gas or conventional electric heating. One manufacturer has even touted that their induction cooktop will boil water in 90 seconds. Powerful electric coils under the glass surface create magnetic induction energy causing the metal cooking vessel to quickly heat up. The pan itself is what will cook your food in record time.2. Responsive Induction cooking is very responsive. Since the power turns on and off instantly and doesn't need to ramp up or down, you'll see boiling water stop boiling almost immediately when you turn off the power.3. Very little heat transfer to cooking surface Unlike traditional heating methods, the intense heat doesn't spread to the adjacent cooking surface, making cleanup a breeze. 4. Prices are the lowest ever.Just in the last year or two induction cooktops and ranges have dropped considerably in price. There are models for nearly any budget. Most appliance brands in the popular price range such as GE, Frigidaire, and Whirlpool now have induction models in their lineup. Upgrade brands such as KitchenAid, Bosch, GE Profile, and Electrolux have some great features and represent terrific values. For top of the line -

Appliance Manufacturer Rebates and Offers
Rebates Now Available at Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center There was a time...back in the 80's when there was no such thing as an appliance rebate. Apparently, manufacturer rebates first began to appear in retail stores such as grocers as a variation on coupons. Instead of redeeming coupons at the grocer, consumers had to mail them in with proof of purchase. Eventually, rebates spread to other businesses and today they are a major part of appliance retailing. GE was an early adopter of rebate promotions to encourage buyers to purchase GE appliances. click on the photo below for details: Manufacturers use rebates as part of their overall marketing program to encourage consumers to buy their brand, but just as importantly to buy a specific appliance model or even a complete kitchen appliance package. For a long time, rebates were limited to the popular mass brands such as Frigidaire, GE, and Whirlpool. Luxury brands Sub Zero Wolf, Viking, and others eschewed rebates in the beginning, but eventually succumbed to using rebates as a promotional tactic. click on the photo below for details: It's good to know, however, that rebates DO come and go. All rebate programs are going to have beginning dates and expiration dates. Rebates might last for a year, but they also might be good only for a few days. It's always going to be a good idea to check with the experts at Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center to find out what rebates are available when you are -
