GE Artistry Series Appliances at UAKC
Best Selection and Prices on GE Artistry Series AppliancesAt Universal Appliance and Kitchen CenterThe GE Artistry Series appliance line looks retro, but is designed to appeal to the younger crowd - the millenials. Available in both white and black, the new line definitely has touches that go back to yesteryear, such as a range with an analog clock, a bottom freezer refrigerator with rounded corners, and even an old style GE logo. With all the excitement of a new line with a hot design targeted at such a huge market as the millenials it would be no surprise to see GE launch this product with premium price points. However, the new GE Artistry Series appliances are solidly within reach of the millennial target market. A full kitchen package can be purchased for less than $2500.GE Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator $1099GE Dishwasher $499GE over-the-range Microwave $219GE gas or electric range $599TOTAL $2416It's interesting that the GE industrial designer that led the development of the Artistry Series, 27 year old Tomas DeLuna, is himself a millenial. DeLuna states:"Making the critical consumer touchpoints metallic, and set against either a pure, white gloss or black gloss finish creates a look that is both familiar to our consumers, yet remains fresh and modern. That's what makes the GE Artistry Series special; the design is authentic and contemporary with a nod to the past not currently offered in the marketplace."For a limited time, you can save $200 on a GE Artistry Series -

Take a Fresh Look at GE Monogram
GE Monogram Belongs in the Luxury Appliance CategoryWhen considering luxury appliance brands, some have discounted GE Monogram not because of the products but because of the "GE" in the Monogram brand name. General Electric is a big name in appliances anchored with the GE name. They include GE, GE Profile, GE Cafe, GE Artistry Series, and GE Monogram. Luxury customers seeking exclusivity can be put off by the association of the Monogram line with its sister GE brands of lower esteem. This is unfortunate.Consider that Whirlpool uses Jenn-Air as their brand in the super premium category. Frigidaire is the mass brand for Electrolux, while Electrolux brand and Electrolux Icon are their top end brand names. The German company BSH has similarly segmented its brands Bosch, Thermador, and Gaggenau. But somehow it's just not the same because General Electric has kept its name on Monogram appliances as GE Monogram. However, there is plenty of differentiation between GE Monogram and GE's other brands. For example, GE Monogram has a really well-featured and attractive line of professional style ranges and rangetops completely different from anything in the the rest of their portfolio. If you want the appearance and performance of pro ranges or rangetops, you should definitely consider GE Monogram. In built-In refrigerators and wine units, GE Monogram is one of only a few brands that also offers a lineup of integrated models. These can be installed flush with hidden hinges to -

GE shows no signs of stopping either. They continue to grow their model mix by adding colors and finishes such as the 2012 introduction of the Slate finish, and GE's more recent introduction of the Artistry Series. We've written about both of these product launches in previous blogs. Bottom Freezer Refrigerators at UAKC
Popular Bottom Freezer Refrigerator Style Advantages of Modern Bottom Freezer Refrigerators Refrigerators with the freezer on the bottom have been around for a long time. Much of the credit for popularizing this configuration goes to Amana. During the 80's and 90's when Side-by-Side refrigerators were all the rage, Amana continued to promote refrigerators with a freezer section on the bottom. Eventually, they introduced a version with double doors in the refrigerator section and the French Door refrigerator revolution began. Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center (UAKC) has been selling and promoting these refrigerator models for many years and carries most of the brands that offer this configuration. French Door refrigerators are also bottom freezer refrigerators because they do in fact also have a freezer on the bottom, but we're going to confine our review here to bottom freezer refrigerators with a single door on the top. Brands including Amana, Frigidaire, GE, Jenn-Air, KitchenAid, Maytag, Fisher & Paykel, Sub Zero, Whirlpool and others are available with a freezer on the bottom. These refrigerators come in the following configurations: The freezer doors may swing out just as in the Amana below, but the most popular models have freezers that pull out. Styling varies. One of the more recent models introduced from the GE Artistry Series has a look that is both retro and trendy. Most bottom freezers refrigerators will come with an icemaker in the freezer compartment, and many will have internal water dispensers. Only a few manufacturers such as Fisher & Paykel -

What's Your Appliance Style?
Choose Your Appliance Style UAKC has appliances for all styles Everybody has a style. In home exteriors some folks like Colonial, while others like Ranch Style, and yet others prefer Craftsmen style homes. That's just the beginning. Think of Georgian, Queen Anne, Greek Revival, Modern, Cottage style, etc. Similarly their are interior design styles. So, it should come as no surprise that appliances are also available in different styles. Whatever your preference, Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center (UAKC), has the appliances to fit your style and your budget. Here are some of your options. If we categorize appliances by color alone, we'd miss the largest of all appliance categories which is not a color at all, but a finish - Stainless Steel. However, more than just a color or a finish, is the overall "look" or style of appliances. For example, while stainless steel is a finish, there are stainless steel appliances that have big bulky knobs and large dowel type handles, that have an industrial or restaurant feel. These appliances are usually referred to as Professional Style appliances. On the other hand, there are appliances that have a very sleek, minimalist look. They are often flush with the surrounding cabinets. This look is very popular in luxury European kitchens, so lets call these appliances Euro-Style. There is also a recent trend towards appliances that are built with a Retro-Style. These appliances may be designed to replicate the appliances of old, or -

Appliance Manufacturer Rebates and Offers
Rebates Now Available at Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center There was a time...back in the 80's when there was no such thing as an appliance rebate. Apparently, manufacturer rebates first began to appear in retail stores such as grocers as a variation on coupons. Instead of redeeming coupons at the grocer, consumers had to mail them in with proof of purchase. Eventually, rebates spread to other businesses and today they are a major part of appliance retailing. GE was an early adopter of rebate promotions to encourage buyers to purchase GE appliances. click on the photo below for details: Manufacturers use rebates as part of their overall marketing program to encourage consumers to buy their brand, but just as importantly to buy a specific appliance model or even a complete kitchen appliance package. For a long time, rebates were limited to the popular mass brands such as Frigidaire, GE, and Whirlpool. Luxury brands Sub Zero Wolf, Viking, and others eschewed rebates in the beginning, but eventually succumbed to using rebates as a promotional tactic. click on the photo below for details: It's good to know, however, that rebates DO come and go. All rebate programs are going to have beginning dates and expiration dates. Rebates might last for a year, but they also might be good only for a few days. It's always going to be a good idea to check with the experts at Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center to find out what rebates are available when you are -
