It's nice to know that just like Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center, Dacor, a successful major appliance manufacturer is based right here in Soucal and they manufacture many of their leading appliances in their factory in City of Industry, CA.

The original appliance business was started by Stanley Joseph and his brother Anthony in 1948. Incorporated in 1965 as Distinctive Appliance, Inc. (Dacor). Stanley's sons soon joined Dacor and eventually (1981) purchased the company.

Today, Dacor (“day-core”) is a California-based, family-owned, privately held company that designs, manufactures and distributes kitchen appliances, specializing in the ultra-premium product tier, including wall ovens, ranges, cooktops, dishwashers, warming drawers, microwaves, ventilation hoods, refrigerators, wine dispensers, barbecue grills and beverage centers. The company’s headquarters and 325,000 square-foot manufacturing facility are based in City of Industry, California.
