The rebates range from a $50 installation rebate to over $6000 on a luxury ktichen. If you are counting on receiving one of these rebates you should definitely place your order now to assure that you will receive the maximum benefit. Here are a few facts that you should know about appliance rebate offers.
- Rebates may or not be renewed. You're taking a gamble if you expect any given manufacturer to renew an expiring rebate program in the upcoming year. While many rebates will be renewed there are sure to be some that aren't.
- Terms or amounts may change. One of the reasons these rebates have year end deadlines is so that the appliance company can reassess the value of the rebate in sales versus the costs they incur. With expiration dates, they can budget in the coming year by reducing rebate amounts.
- Products may differ. It's a common practice to periodically tweak these offers and change eligible models. The free dishwasher you thought was worth $1000 may be changed to a lesser model.
- There may be a gap in dates. Another common practice of some appliance companies is to leave open dates in rebates. A rebate that expires at the end of December may not be offered again until the end of March.
