Frigidaire

Built-In ovens with doors that open from the side instead of from the top are not new. In fact, the current model Frigidaire with a side swing oven door goes back at least to the 1970's as this was a standard model in one of Frigidaire's other brands White-Westinghouse. Fagor

Italian brand Fagor has a an attractive wall oven with a side swinging door in a 24″ width design (fits standard European cabinets). The Fagor unit is made with both left and right hand swing. Think of a side-by-side double oven configuration.

BlueStar

BlueStar has a hefty looking design for its side swing oven which is available in a 24″ configuration for a single door and 27″ and 30″ widths in a French door style oven.

Gaggenau

This expensive European brand is highly regarded, and found in luxury kitchens throughout the continent and in the U.S. Gaggenau side swing wall ovens are available in both left and right hand opening doors, in a variety of models and sizes.

French Door Ovens

Viking

In the mid 90's Jade Range Company introduced a wall oven with side opening doors in the French Door style. Since then, Jade, primarily a commercial cooking product company was acquired by Middleby. And Middleby recently purchased the Viking Range Company. So, it comes as no surprise that Viking's new line includes a French door wall oven.

BlueStar

As mentioned above, BlueStar has both a side swing oven in a 24″ width and a French Door version in the 27″ and 30″ widths that are so common in the U.S.

American Range

Another high-end range manufacturer, American Range builds 30″ French door ovens in single oven configurations as well as double ovens with 2 French door ovens or 1 French door oven and a second conventional door oven below.
