Fountain Valley, nestled in Orange County, California, is a picturesque suburban city with a population of 57,047 as of the 2020 census. Officially becoming a city in 1957, Fountain Valley’s name is derived from its historically high water table and the abundant artesian wells that characterized the area. Originally, early settlers had to construct drainage canals to make the land viable for agriculture, which remained the primary use until the 1960s.
