Culver City

UNIVERSAL APPLIANCE AND KITCHEN CENTER AND CULVER CITY, CA

Culver City is a city within Los Angeles County, and it was named after the founder, Harry Culver. The city has an extensive history dating back thousands of years. Archaeological evidence suggests that humans have been present on the site since 8,000 BC and the present day Culver City was home to the Tongva Gabrielino Native American tribe. 

Since the 1920s, the city has been at the heart of film and television production. It is best known as the place where Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios is located. Between 1932 and 1986, it was also the headquarters for Hughes Aircraft Company. The NFL Network studio, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and National Public Radio West are also based in the city. 

Today, Culver City has a population of approximately 39,000 spanning five square miles, after annexing parcels of adjoining land.
