GE to Market Haier AppliancesUAKC offers more appliance choices with HaierIt's only been a couple of short years since GE Appliances became part of the Worldwide Haier Group of appliances. At this year's Builder/Kitchen and Bath Show, GE announced the addition of Haier Appliances to its lineup.This is good news to many in the LA basin. There are an amazing number of homes and apartments in the LA area which have 24" wall and base cabinets. Replacing appliances in these cabinets can be a real problem since most US appliances are designed to fit in 30" cabinets.We've been able to get by all these years by replacing appliances with some 24" wide low end brands which have limited appeal, and more recently with some European brands which commonly are built at 60 centimeters, a width that fits nicely in a 24" space. The cooking process moves as quickly as a stir-fry, so you’ll want to have all your ingredients prepared in advance and ready to go.Preparation MethodHeat the oil in a large skillet or sauté pan over medium heat until it shimmers, 1 to 2 minutes, then add the shrimp. Cook, stirring often, until the shrimp start to curl and turn pink, 1 to ½ minutes.Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds, then add the tomatoes and cook for 30 seconds more. Turn off the heat and stir in the lemon juice and vermouth. Add the butter, stirring it into the sauce until it melts. Stir in 1 tablespoon of the parsley and season with salt and pepper.
