Luxury Range now Available with LP Gas
You CAN get a Pro Range that operates on Propane!Order this New Jenn-Air at Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center Most of us who cook with gas ranges use Natural Gas, BUT for a surprising number of households LP (Propane) is the only gas fuel type available. Not a problem for standard gas ranges, since they usually can be converted from Natural Gas to LP. However, Pro-Style ranges often cannot be converted. Customers must order specific models that are preconfigured for LP gas. Unfortunately, every model of every brand is not always built in both Natural and LP versions.Good News! Jenn-Air has just released a new version of it's popular JGRP430WP 30" Gas Range in a LP version model JGLRP430WP. Here's a key feature rundown:This commercial-style Jenn-Air® Pro-Style® LP range offers power and precision. Its four burners include a 14,000 BTU Dual-Stacked PowerBurner for high-heat cooking and a simmer burner for more delicate cooking. Six different convection cooking modes like bake, roast and broil distribute heat evenly and thoroughly, for beautifullyconsistent results.Dual-Fan MultiMode® True Convection SystemThis system features an oval heating element and two round fans that distribute heat evenly and thoroughly throughout the oven. New Professional Home Appliances Updated
Pro-Style® Cooking Appliances are Changing The Pro-Look Gets a Sleek Update As professional looking appliances have gained popularity in luxury kitchens, they have often been mixed with sleek flush European style appliances. A Bosch or Asko dishwasher featuring a flush matching cabinet panel disappears into the cabinetry while nearby there is a Sub-Zero integrated built-in refrigerator with hidden hinges and door panels that match the adjacent cabinets. They're invisible as appliances and fit right in to the wall. Though it's not possible to do this with cooking appliances, manufacturers have made their cooktops and ranges much more sleek and contemporary-looking. This has become particularly noticeable recently, as even Professional Style appliances have become more flush, but still keep their Pro heritage. Check out the three entries below from Jenn-Air, Wolf, and Miele. Jenn-Air Jenn-Air's new 30" and 36" Pro-Style® cooktops have undergone a complete redesign. Not only have they added more power and new brass burners, but the surface of the cooktop itself is as near to flush as you can get without being inset into the counter. The heavy duty knobs still have a Pro look and feel, but they are somewhat less obtrusive. By the way, the term Pro-Style® is a registered Jenn-Air trademark. Wolf Wolf's new "M" Series Professional Oven still sports their signature red knobs, but also has touch electronic controls that work in conjunction with the knobs. Wolf has worked their magic by producing a jumbo oven with twin convection fans, yet it all fits -

Coming Soon - New Professional Style Appliances
Surprising New Pro-Look Appliances from Frigidaire See them Soon at Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center One big surprise at the 2015 Design and Construction Week (KBIS/IBS) was the "pre-launch" of a new line of professional style appliances by Electrolux's Frigidaire brand. The look is definitely "pro-style". It's much more than we've seen in previous attempts at professional looking appliances by entry level mass brands. From a design perspective, we're predicting that this is going to be a home run. The industry could really use some attractive professional looking appliances in the mass brand categories. However, as always, consumers are the ones who make any new product launch a failure or a success. Pricing and features are key as Electrolux will need to keep the Frigidaire brand properly aligned with the other brands in their portfolio. Ranges debut first with retails from $1599 to $2699. The new Frigidaire Professional dishwasher is slated for a $1099 retail price, and has a 30 minute quick wash cycle. The Frigidaire Professional French-door refrigerator has all the sex appeal you'd expect in a free-standing pro-look model including the bulky tubular stainless handles you might find on a big built-in pro refrigerator, at a fraction of the price. The retail on this refrigerator will range from $3199 to $3499. All this means that you could outfit a kitchen with new Frigidaire Professional appliances (range, dishwasher, and refrigerator) for a bit less than $6K, or as much as $7.3K. As a nice bonus, all these appliances will -

New Line of Kitchen Appliances from DCS
New DCS Professional Style Handles and Knobs Choose Your Style at Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center Considering the fact DCS helped pioneer restaurant grade appliances for the home, it's quite interesting that the new line of DCS appliances is styled to have a more "professional-grade" aesthetic. Though the new line has round handles, DCS has continued with the square handles, too. DCS has also added a kickplate to the ranges, as well as illuminated range and oven knobs. Home chefs are sure to love the new Sealed Dual Flow burners on ranges and cooktops with more precise control. The 19,000 Btu infrared oven broiler does an amazing job of searing. Optional griddles on ranges and cooktops are 1/4" Stainless Steel, and are thermostatically controlled for even temperatures. Rangetop vs Cooktop
Choosing the right cooking surface unit Buying a New Rangetop vs a New Cooktop What?? Aren't rangetops and cooktops really the same thing? No, they're definitely not! For sure, if you ever try to replace a rangetop with a cooktop or vice versa you're going to find out very quickly that they are substantially different. In short, think of a rangetop as the upper portion of a range, including front facing knobs in the cabinet front. Think of a cooktop as a surface unit only, with the knobs on the countertop surface.Though you could find an electric rangetop if you looked hard enough (I think Viking and Electrolux make them), rangetops are most likely to have gas burners rather than electric elements. On the other hand, both gas and electric cooktops are commonly available in nearly all brands. So, what are the advantages and disadvantages of each? Well, since rangetops have the knobs in the front, they are very accessible, and make sense in a universal design, or for anyone who might have a difficulty reaching knobs that are on the countertop, especially the knobs in the back. Similarly, you might want to have knobs on the top to keep them away from small children. Remember though, all knobs require a push-and-turn movement to operate regardless of where the knobs are located. Also, If you're trying for a Pro-Style look, the rangetop is going to have more of this professional, restaurant type look. But, -

Deciding between Stainless Appliances and Cabinet Panels
Stainless vs Cabinet Panels - Pros and Cons Many appliances such as refrigerators, dishwashers, wine chillers, and ice makers can be purchased with stainless steel fronts or panel ready to accept optional cabinet fronts. In many cases, these are "integrated" allowing the appliance to completely blend in with surrounding cabinets, though adding cabinet panels to your appliances will also add cost. So the question might be, "Do you want your appliances to blend in or would you prefer that your appliances stand out?" Some appliances are just so dominant, that it makes no sense to try to hide them. Look at this Sub Zero Pro 48 Refrigerator. It dominates the kitchen and demands attention. On the other hand, this integrated suite of GE Monogram refrigerator and wine units, tastefully blends into the room and makes a subtle statement of its own.Dishwashers, are appliances that really lend themselves to cabinet panels and can often seamlessly blend into the lower cabinets. Look for a dishwasher that is designed to fit "flush" in a 24" deep cabinet enclosure. Increasingly, we're seeing refrigerator and freezer drawer units, which are great for Universal Design and also nicely lend themselves to cabinet panels. Another great advantage to this appliance category is that they are go anywhere appliances, so they fit in with the design concept of "point of use" appliances. We see them in pantries, rec rooms, and about anyplace
