Saving Money on Luxury Brands
Save on Miele and Sub-Zero Wolf at UAKCMajor appliance brands are often divided into categories such as Economy brands Amana, and Mass market brands GE, Whirlpool, Frigidaire, and Luxury brands Miele, and Sub-Zero Wolf. Some brands cross more than one category, while others squeeze in between. For example, there is an ongoing effort among some brands to carve out space between mass and luxury brands. These brands fit into categories such as Premium, eg. KitchenAid or even Super-Premium. Today, however, we're going to briefly discuss two brands that proudly consider themselves Luxury brands: Miele and Sub-Zero Wolf.Miele is a German brand that has a history that can be traced back to 1899. Their motto Immer Besser translates to Forever Better and the Miele family follows that principle today as a worldwide high end appliance brand. One of my favorite Miele products is this dual fuel 48" wide range.Sub-Zero Wolf is a U.S. enterprise based in Wisconsin. They lay claim to inventing built-in refrigeration for the home. A hugely successful company, Sub-Zero purchased the Wolf brand for residential use (Wolf continues as a separate company manufacturing restaurant ranges). Now, Sub-Zero Wolf offers a complete line of luxury refrigeration and cooking products for the home. Sub-Zero is famous for this Sub-Zero Pro 48 refrigerators. As Premium brands, both Miele and Sub-Zero Wolf are expensive, but that doesn't mean you can't save money when purchasing them. Here are some terrific offers available now at Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center:SUB-ZERO WOLFUpgrade and Save on a -

Here's how Miele describes this new product line: Princeton, NJ - April 11, 2014 - Following five years of extensive product development, Miele introduces its Generation 6000 series of appliances. As the most significant Miele product launch in the United States, Generation 6000 sets new benchmarks in design, technology and innovation. Comprising new convection ovens, speed ovens, steam ovens, combi-steam ovens, coffee systems, microwave ovens and gourmet warming drawers - Miele Generation 6000 ensures unprecedented convenience, performance and elegance for today’s kitchen. Miele is a German company founded in 1899. Early on, Miele adopted the motto Immer Besser, "forever better", which has stood the test of time. The German engineered new Generation 6000 line exemplifies the motto and is designed to last 20 years. 20 YEARS. That's really remarkable! Especially considering that many appliances are built with planned obsolescence for replacement cycles of 10-15 years. As you can see, Miele will have none of this. Their new Generation 6000 series comes in two style configurations: Pureline which has a streamlined smooth look. Contourline highlights stainless steel. photos: courtesy of Miele Kitchens can take advantage of either line to achieve their style objectives. Or each line can complement each other in a single kitchen. Generation 6000 is much more than just a harmonious style. The new appliance line has controls that are amazingly intuitive -

Mass Premium Appliances
Affordable Upgraded Appliances at Universal Appliance and Kitchen CenterMass Premium Appliance BrandsUniversal Appliance and Kitchen Center (UAKC) is Headquarters in Southern California for the "mass" appliance brands like GE, Frigidaire, Maytag, and Whirlpool. And most of you know that with locations in Studio City and Calabasas they also focus on the "luxury" brands including Wolf Sub Zero, Viking, Thermador, Miele and Gaggenau. There is also a growing market for brands known as "mass premium" appliance brands. The mass premium moniker fits those brands that are NOT in the upper stratosphere price-wise with names like Sub Zero and Miele, but nevertheless are in a higher price category than GE, Whirlpool, and Frigidaire's more entry level offerings. The mass premium category includes KitchenAid, Bosch, GE Café/Profile, and Electrolux. We might even consider Korean brands LG and Samsung as in the mass premium category as well as the Italian labels recently launched in the U.S. Fulgor Milano and Bertazzoni. All these brands are strategically positioned with pricing and feature levels definitely above the mass, but nevertheless not luxury. (It gets fuzzy. Electrolux brand certainly has some products that might be considered above mass premium, and Jenn-Air purposely describes itself as "super premium", evidently meaning more than mass premium, but not quite luxury). In any case let's take a look at two brands who seem to be comfortable calling themselves mass premium - KitchenAid and Bosch.Part of the Whirlpool family of brands, KitchenAid is focused on the kitchen (does not have washers and dryers). Here's how -

German Appliances in the U.S.
All major German brands are available at UAKC Miele - Bosch - Thermador - Gaggenau - Liebherr Known for durability and efficiency, German appliance brands have made their name in the U.S. market in recent years. These sleek and streamlined German engineered refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ranges, ovens, and cooktops have distinguished themselves as leaders in the premium and luxury categories. Bosch, Thermador, and Gaggenau (all part of the BSH corporate umbrella), Miele appliances, and now Liebherr refrigeration account for nearly all of the German brands sold in the U.S. The BSH brands have a considerable U.S. manufacturing footprint, while Miele and Leibherr build primarily in Germany. Miele boasts that as a family operation, they are not interested so much in quarterly earnings, but in long term viability. While competitors race to outsource products and cut costs, Miele builds 90% of their products in Germany and manufactures over 95% of their parts. Their sensibility is to build their products to last 20 years or more. Part of the German brand success in the U.S. is the low energy use and water savings in their dishwashers. The Bosch dishwasher has also been a consistent leader in building the quietest dishwasher available. Let's take a look at few of these highly regarded products: Bosch Dishwasher 24" Bar Handle DishwasherSHX9PT75UCBenchmark™ Series- Stainless steel The quietest dishwasher in North America. 38 dBA: Quietest dishwasher brand.
